The Role Description Builder helps you create role descriptions using the NSW Public Sector Capability Framework (Version 2: 2020). It also uses Occupation Specific Capability Sets, where applicable.
You can use the builder to add all the content you need for a compliant role description.
Updated for accessibility
We’ve updated the Role Description Builder based on feedback from the sector. The new template meets accessibility guidelines and looks slightly different.
You don’t need to update existing role descriptions, but we recommend using the new template for all future roles to help make the public sector more inclusive for people with disability.
Before you start
- The builder is hosted on an external website. If you can’t access it, ask your ICT team for help.
- If you want to edit a role description later, download and save a copy before closing the builder.
