Cootamundra West Railway Station is a heritage‑listed, former station on the Lake Cargelligo line, located about 2 km north‑north‑east of the town's main station . It opened on 22 March 1911 and closed to passenger services in 1983, though some freight usage continued. The complex features an impressive Edwardian, double‑storey brick building, former refreshment rooms, a shaped brick platform, and a signal box at one end While not operating and closed to the public, it remains in good condition and was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 199
