Goulburn Regional Art Gallery is the region's hub for presenting and supporting contemporary art. The Goulburn Regional Art Gallery is now over 30 years old. It has curated and presented a rich diversity of exhibitions and public programmes during this period and toured its exhibitions throughout Australia.
The Gallery has a solid reputation for providing the region with the opportunity to experience and participate in the best of local and national art. The Gallery's primary role is to promote and develop contemporary regional and national art and to provide a visual art and craft educational resource.
Goulburn Regional Art Gallery has toured a large number of its exhibitions nationally to over 100 galleries. The gallery's extensive public program includes workshops for children and youth and for adults with disabilities, an outreach program for rural and isolated pre-school children, an art program in Goulburn Correctional Centre for Aboriginal inmates, and a range of quality and accessible programs for regional schools.
