The name Koorilgur derives from an Aboriginal word meaning 'low scrub and bush'. Koorilgur Nature Reserve has been developed for bushland walking, wildflowers, fauna and flora observation. Wildflowers are abundant in Spring.
The Koorilgur Nature Walk has been divided into different length tracks, these provide for the person who wants to take a casual stroll, as well as those who are more adventurous bush walkers.
Admire rock markings from the original sandstone mining days as well as enjoy views across the valley.
