Rangoon Island, also known as Stack Island, was named after the wreck of the Rangoon in 1870.
Located north of Kiama at the mouth of the Minnamurra River, the island is known for its striking basalt rock formations and spectacular coastal scenery.
Home only to scores of local seabirds, it is best viewed from the cliffs of Minnamurra Headland along the scenic Kiama Coast Walk.
