Media discussion of inter-communal relations

This indicator includes media coverage and opinion relating to:

• the degree of social participation
• the degree of interaction

between members of different:

• racial groups
• ethnic groups
• religious groups.  

Poor inter-communal relations can be evidenced by:

• hate crimes
• incidents of racial abuse
• expressions of anti-Muslim and anti-immigrant sentiment.

This indicator supports an outcome of Resilience.
