Work on the Temora Hospital Redevelopment will begin in the coming months following the appointment of Richard Crookes Construction as the main works contractor.
The $95 million redevelopment will deliver new health facilities and upgraded health services for the local and surrounding communities, ensuring residents can access high-quality care closer to home.
The redevelopment will include:
- An Emergency Department
- Inpatient unit for flexible use for medical, surgical, rehabilitation, maternity, and palliative care patients
- Birthing and nursery
- Operating theatre and procedure room
- Allied health and ambulatory clinics with gymnasium
- Community health and mental health, drug and alcohol services
- An additional procedure room in the perioperative suite
- Expansion of the medical imaging unit to include a new ultrasound and CT service.
Included as part of the redevelopment’s design, there will be new improved car parking for patients, staff and visitors, and a separate emergency and service vehicle entry.
The redevelopment is expected to be completed in 2028.
