The project team has commenced 'breaking through' from the back of the existing John Hunter Hospital.
This work supports the establishment of three link bridges between the existing hospital and the new building, which is under construction.

These bridges will align with the hospital's existing main entry to allow for easy movement from the front of the hospital all the way through to the new building at the rear. Find out more about the work on the new link bridges by viewing the video below.

Building the bridges - John Hunter Health and Innovation Precinct
A new phase of work has begun at the John Hunter Health and Innovation Precinct to connect the existing facility to the new building.
This year we saw the community’s creativity shine through the Arts in Health Program. More than 200 community members helped shape the identity of the new Eurobodalla Regional Hospital through a series of creative workshops held across the region.
Works on the third and final stage of the $200 million Wyong Hospital Redevelopment and an expansion of the Wyong Cancer Centre are complete, marking a major milestone in delivering accessible and patient-centred healthcare closer to home for Central Coast communities.
