There are currently 34 COVID-19 patients in MLHD being cared for in hospital. Three of these patients are in ICU, 2 patients are ventilated.
Sadly, we also report the death of two men in their 70s and one man in his 80s. The men were residents of Edward River LGA, Griffith LGA and Wagga Wagga LGA. We extend our sincere condolences to the families and loved ones.
Across the MLHD, more than 95% of people aged 16 and over have received 2 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine to 6 February 2022.
Of children aged 12 to 15, 85.2% have received a first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, and 79.3% have received 2 doses.
Across NSW, of children aged 5 to 11, 45.2% have received a first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
Of people aged 16 and over, 48% have now received a third dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. This represents 52.3% of the eligible population that received their second dose more than 3 months ago.

If you have any symptoms, you can come forward for a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test. PCR test results currently take around 48-72 hours to process.
You do not need PCR test if you have already returned a positive Rapid Antigen Test (RAT).

Anyone aged 5 and over can now have their COVID-19 vaccine.
Booster doses are now available for people aged 16 and over who had their second dose at least 3 months ago.
The MLHD Mobile Vaccination Clinic will be in Tolland and Ashmont this week. First, second and booster doses will be available for anyone aged 5 and over.

The MLHD Vaccination Clinic in Wagga Wagga has family-friendly opening hours and is open between 11:30am until 7pm on weekdays.
The MLHD Vaccination Clinic in Griffith is open until 5pm on weekdays.
The Moderna vaccine is also available at both clinics on Monday mornings from 9am to 12 noon.
COVID-19 vaccinations are available at more than 100 locations across the region including GP’s, Pharmacies, Aboriginal Medical Services and MLHD clinics.
The clinics are available for walk-ins, or you can book ahead to pre-register and save time in the line.
