Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) is pleased welcome Ms Peta McIntyre has been appointed as our district's Perioperative Network Lead.
Peta is a graduate of Charles Sturt University and has extensive experience in the provision of perioperative nursing.
Peta initially trained at Calvary Private Hospital Wagga, transferring to Wagga Wagga Base Hospital (WWBH) to increase her perioperative knowledge with roles as Orthopaedic CNS, Nurse Unit Manager, Nurse Manager Perioperative and most recently WWBH Nurse Manager Workforce before transferring back to her passion of perioperative nursing as A/Surgical Project Lead.
She has recently completed her Master of Health Management and Leadership and brings excellent clinical, organisational and managerial skills to our district as well as a smiling face.
Peta will be progressing large transformations in the surgery space with the Surgical Implementation Plan, District-Wide Waitlist Management System, Direct Access Colonoscopy program and maximising the theatre utilisation of District facilities.
