Location

Yass is a town in the Southern Tablelands of NSW. Situated in the beautiful Yass Valley - a thriving rural region with a great sense of community, spectacular natural scenery and a laid-back country lifestyle.

Getting there

Yass is a 3 hour drive from Sydney and less than 1 hour from Canberra. You can take a train from Sydney to Yass Junction, which takes around 3 hours and 40 minutes.

Patient transfers and direct admissions

Southern's District Patient Flow Unit coordinates patient movements between hospitals in Southern NSW Local Health District, and to or from hospitals outside our district.

The unit manages transfers, coordinates conference calls between referring and accepting clinicians, confirms bed availability, and books patient transport so care is timely and safe.
