More homes in the Northern Rivers will be prioritised for buyback and upgrades following today’s announcement by the Albanese Government of a further $90 million for the Resilient Homes Program (RHP) bringing the total program value to $880 million.  

The NSW Labor Government has sped up delivery of new funding to Armidale Regional Council to repair roads and transport infrastructure damaged during natural disasters.

More than $52.5 million in additional disaster recovery funding has been approved by the Albanese and Minns Governments to help the Byron Shire Council restore damaged road infrastructure.

Recovery support will be available next week to Broken Hill and surrounding remote communities including Tibooburra, Wilcannia, Menindee and White Cliffs.

Testing will soon begin on cutting-edge technology to improve early warnings about floods and bushfires in NSW.
