Aquatic and mooring licences – advice for licence applicants

This factsheet lists the factors Transport for NSW takes into account when considering licence applications for aquatic and mooring licences.

Transport for NSW is required to consider the impacts of prposed activites and mitigation measures on the following aspects of the environment:

  • landforms and soils
  • water quality
  • noise generation
  • air quality
  • biodiversity
  • waste generation
  • services
  • existing or proposed land uses in the vicinity
  • the community
  • traffic, parking and pedestrian access
  • Indigenous heritage
  • non-Indigenous heritage
  • scenic qualities and visual amenity
  • the safety of persons, structures and the environment
  • cumulative impacts.
