Clearance levels
If your boat's mast is under 6m or more above water level (depending on tides) you can pass Spit Bridge even when the bridge isn't open.
Rules
Vessel operators are to:
- Observe navigation rules when approaching the bridge.
- Wait for a green light before proceeding. Transport for NSW will be notified of any serious breaches.
Early and late arrivals
- If you arrive early for a bridge lift, you must wait until the next scheduled opening time.
- There are two courtesy moorings (087 and 097) on the western side of the Spit Bridge near Dalbora Marina, and two courtesy moorings (088 and 089) on the eastern side of the Spit Bridge, available for public use.
- These public moorings have a maximum 2-hour limit and a maximum displacement of 20 tonnes for vessels waiting for the Spit Bridge.
