Program objective
The Aboriginal Health Ministerial Approved Grants program is administered by the Centre for Aboriginal Health at the Ministry of Health. The Ministry of Health is committed to building the Community-Controlled sector in partnership with the Peak Body the Aboriginal Health & Medical Research Council (AH&MRC) and the individual Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs).
The grants support ACCHOs to deliver holistic, culturally responsive and tailored health services to Aboriginal people. Program areas include comprehensive primary care services, prevention and management of chronic disease, oral health, maternal and infant health, drug and alcohol prevention and treatment and mental health and wellbeing services.
This program is funded and administered by NSW Health.
