We’re seeking video applications from Landcare groups in the Riverina to apply for Landcare funding.

Program objective
The objectives of the Champion Landcare Groups Grants program are:
- Support environmental initiatives: To assist Landcare groups in delivering impactful environmental projects that benefit local communities and landscapes.
- Enhance sustainability: Promote sustainable agricultural practices and the protection of natural resources across the Riverina region.
- Strengthen local networks: Foster collaboration among community groups, landholders, and organizations to build a stronger Landcare network.
- Showcase First Nations knowledge: Integrate and highlight First Nations perspectives and cultural practices in environmental management.
- Encourage creativity and engagement: Encourage innovative approaches to Landcare projects and create opportunities for groups to share their successes through video submissions.
This program is funded and administered by Local Land Services.
Eligibility
Landholders, schools and Landcare groups in the Riverina region are eligible to apply for funding for the delivery of Landcare projects and programs.
Types of projects funded under this grant
- Delivering or providing Landcare projects, events, programs, initiatives and services.
- Purchasing or hiring equipment and materials.
- Activities and resources that will strengthen
- Landcare projects or local networks (capacity building).
What your application needs to include
Video application details
- Videos must be approximately 3 minutes in duration.
- Videos can be made using smartphones, video cameras, image, or animation applications.
- The video can be a short story, documentary, interview/s and/or animation.
- Successful videos will be assessed on authenticity, creativity, and presentation.
Champion Landcare groups videos
Groups are invited to submit videos to inspire local landholders, communities, and organisations in the Riverina.
Tell them (and the world):
- A project you have completed, a project that you would like to undertake or a combination of both
- How the project benefits the environment
- Why sustainable agriculture, NRM and/or First Nations knowledge and cultural practices are important.
After the application is submitted
Videos will be assessed on authenticity, creativity, and presentation.
Winners will be announced Monday 12 December 2022.
Riverina Local Land Services retains the right to use the successful videos to promote natural resource management, sustainable farming, and Aboriginal culture through Riverina Local Land Services promotional platforms.
