Program objective
Objective 1: To increase early diagnosis rates and significantly optimise positive health outcomes for those impacted by silicosis.
Objective 2: To reduce the barriers to correct diagnosis of the disease and increase access to proper care for those impacted by silicosis.
Objective 3: To implement training programs to help GPs identify and consider a dust disease; to understand how the disease presents; be aware of (and use) referral options; and know treatment options available.
Objective 4: To directly connect to the patient and their carers to provide targeted support and information about the silicosis journey and encourage access to all related services.
