Program objective
This grants aims to protect and enhance river and riverbank habitats within the Clyde River Estuary focusing on bank erosion and riparian (riverbank) vegetation.
South East Local Land Services (LLS) are looking to actively work with private land managers and organisations to protect and remediate bank erosion within the Clyde River system.
This program is administered by Department of Regional NSW and funded under the Australian Government's National Landcare Program.

Eligibility
Funding will be allocated to land managers and organisations within the Clyde River catchment looking to:
- improve land management practices around bank erosion and riparian corridors
- fence off riparian corridors from livestock
- fence off and vegetate creek lines within the Clyde River catchment to reduce sedimentation.
- identify weed infestations within their riparian corridors.
- setup and apply baseline monitoring within bank erosion sites across the Clyde River catchment.
Who can apply
- Land owners, land managers or organisations within the Clyde River catchment.
- Groups or individuals with frontage to the Clyde River.
Who can’t apply
- Organisations or land managers outside the Clyde River catchment.
- Organisations or land managers who have incomplete projects with South East LLS.
Types of projects funded under this grant
Types of projects funded under this grant may include:
- Land management practices that will protect and enhance riparian corridors and bank erosion sites.
- Fencing off riparian corridors or creek lines from livestock.
- Revegetating riparian corridors or creek lines within the Clyde River catchment
- Weed management practices reducing infestations within the Clyde River catchment.
- Reduction of farm runoff or sedimentation within the Clyde River catchment.
- Baseline data capture of bank erosion within the Clyde River catchment.
- Education and awareness workshops surrounding the importance of bank remediation and healthy riparian corridors.
Projects must be located within the Clyde River Catchment.

Opportunities via funding from Local Land Services include:
- Investing in farm fencing infrastructure to limit access from livestock or vehicles in areas experiencing bank erosion.
- Revegetating a degraded riparian corridor.
- Undertaking better land management practices to improve riparian corridors.
- Increasing vegetation to filter run off from areas adjacent to the Clyde River Estuary.
