Saleyard operators who applied for the NSW Sheep and Goat eID Rebate may apply for additional funding through the NSW Sheep and Goat eID Saleyard Infrastructure Grant to support the implementation of mandatory eID.

Program objective
To provide a second round of funding to eligible saleyards for the costs associated with the purchase and installation of eligible items as part of the implementation of mandatory individual electronic identification (eID) tagging for sheep and farmed goats within NSW.
Eligible saleyards may apply for a maximum grant amount equating to the difference between their previously approved NSW Sheep and Goat eID Infrastructure Rebate application total and the quoted costs provided in their approved Sheep and Goat eID – Planning and Design Report Form, to a maximum value of $200,000.
This program is funded and administered by Department of Primary Industries.
Program evaluation
The Department of Primary Industries has engaged the NSW Rural Assistance Authority (RAA) as funding administrator for this grant program. The RAA evaluates all programs administered. This includes surveys at various points of the application and claim process.
