Program objective
The scope of the grant provides for fixed-wing transport to approved passengers so they may provide health services to people living in rural and remote communities in areas where:
- there are no local appropriate health professionals available
- there is no regular commercial airline service or the Local Health District (LHD) Representative deems the service to be unsuitable and
- alternative means of transport require greater than 3 hours travel each way.
This program is funded and administered by NSW Health.
