The aim of this grant is to create a sustainable farm dam case study which can be utilised for educational workshops on the benefits of sustainable farm dams.

Program objective
The grant is designed to create a demonstration site at an existing private farm dam so that it has improved agricultural and environmental benefits.
This landholder would provide access as required to the enhanced farm dam for educational workshops.
This program is funded and administered by Local Land Services.
Eligibility
- Eligible activities must be associated with farm dam enhancement.
- The landholder will be expected to enter into a 10 year management agreement and undertake agreed management activities relevant to the funding they receive.
- The landholder will be expected to provide access as required to the farm dam for educational workshops.
Who can apply
Applicants must be
rural landholders in the Shoalhaven and Illawarra region.
Types of projects funded under this grant
Dam enhancement could involve
- restricting livestock access with fencing
- providing alternate water sources (troughs) or a hardened access route
- planting endemic plant species.

You will also be asked to provide a brief description of your project that outlines how you want to improve your farm dam.

Successful applications will be decided by: Executive Director Regional Delivery at Local Land Services.
The applications will be assessed and both successful and unsuccessful applicants will be notified.
