About the Project

The Hazelbrook Village Centre Place Activation Project delivers high street, arts and culture and community infrastructure improvements across the Hazelbrook Village. The project expands and improves the function and use of the village and meets the needs for local amenity and a rapid growth in tourism. 

Project Scope

  • Pedestrian Access and Safety with incursion, pedestrian crossing and footpath improvements

  • Threshold treatment upgrades to accessible standards

  • Pedestrian wayfinding

  • Outdoor public seating area 

  • Street trees and garden bed landscaping

  • Improvements to public lighting

  • Smart Cities Technology Package including air quality sensors and weather reporting

  • Water Sensitive Urban Design treatments with raingardens and other biofiltration
