Hazelbrook Village Centre - Place Activation Project

About the Project

The Hazelbrook Village Centre Place Activation Project delivers high street, arts and culture and community infrastructure improvements across the Hazelbrook Village. The project expands and improves the function and use of the village and meets the needs for local amenity and a rapid growth in tourism. 

Project Scope

  • Pedestrian Access and Safety with incursion, pedestrian crossing and footpath improvements

  • Threshold treatments for pedestrians

  • Pedestrian wayfinding

  • Outdoor public seating area 

  • Street trees and garden bed landscaping

  • Public art activation including Traditional Owner interpretations and artwork and interactive play elements.

  • Public lighting

  • Improved outdoor events space including cellular grass grid, electrical outlets, and flexible railing for crowd control

  • Smart Cities Technology Package including parking sensors, pedestrian sensors, air quality sensors, weather reporting and smart lighting. 

  • Water Sensitive Urban Design treatments with raingardens and other biofiltration
