About the Project
The Neighbourhood Park Upgrade Project will deliver upgrades to 4 neighbourhood parks (1 per Ward) per year over a 4-year period, for a total of 16 parks upgraded.
Upgrades will include play equipment (including transitioning to nature-based play where appropriate); accessibility upgrades (including pathways, seating, play and parking spaces); social interaction upgrades (seating/meeting places); exercise equipment (where appropriate); and signage.
Project Scope
The project will deliver:
- new play equipment - including inclusive and transitioning to nature-based play (where appropriate)
- accessibility upgrades – including pathways, seating and parking spaces
- social interaction upgrades - seating/meeting places
- exercise equipment to cater for the older demographic
- landscaping and tree planting
- water sensitive urban design outcomes
- improved signage.
