About the Project

The Pitt Park Athletics Complex Upgrade Project will transform the current athletics oval at Pitt Park into a dedicated athletics sporting precinct. The project will deliver an additional (8th) lane, field drainage improvements, clubhouse, storage, signage and fencing. This project will provide greater opportunities for participation in structured athletics competition and training for athletes

Project Scope

This project will result in:

  • An additional track lane (lane 8 to complete 8 x 400m)
  • Extensive field drainage improvements to the northern, western and southern sides of the athletics track
  • A new purpose-built accessible clubhouse, including technical facilities for electronic timing, photo-finish, judiciary and technical rooms, meeting space, and universal design amenities and change rooms
  • A new accessible equipment storage shed with water and electricity connections • Water and electricity connections to the existing storage shed
  • Improved roadside signage
  • Upgraded, secure site fencing to prohibit illegal vehicle access, while maintaining legitimate emergency vehicle access points
