About the Project:
The Enfield Aquatic Centre Project delivers a state-of-the-art upgrade for Sydney's oldest freshwater olympic swimming pool. The project enhances and modernises the existing facility to meet future community needs and growing numbers while improving year-round functionality with a new 50m pool, children’s area, leisure centre, café, green space and accessible amenities.
Project Scope
The project features:
- New 50m outdoor pool and concourse, including heating provisions
- New entry including an accessible customer service point with merchandise sales point
- Café with internal and external service points spilling into the surrounding park area
- Health and fitness centre, including gym and programming space
- Relocation and upgrade of toddler and children’s pool
- Outdoor shading and seating structures, including new bleachers/undercover grandstand
- Fully accessible amenities with parent change rooms
- Improved landscaping inspired by the area’s Indigenous heritage
- New staff office area and back of house facilities, including first aid room
- New multipurpose community room/training space
- Upgrade to existing aged drainage system and services

- Accessible covered walk ways between pools
