About the Project:

The Enfield Aquatic Centre Project delivers a state-of-the-art upgrade for Sydney's oldest freshwater olympic swimming pool. The project enhances and modernises the existing facility to meet future community needs and growing numbers while improving year-round functionality with a new 50m pool, children’s area, leisure centre, café, green space and accessible amenities.

Project Scope

The project features:

  • New 50m outdoor pool and concourse, including heating provisions 

  • Café with indoor and outdoor functionality

  • Health and fitness centre, including gym and programming spaces

  • Innovative plant equipment to improve energy efficiency

  • Accessible covered walkways between pools

  • Toddler and children’s pool upgrade

  • New outdoor shading and seating structures, including new bleachers/undercover grandstand

  • New fully accessible amenities with parent change rooms and outdoor showers

  • Landscaping inspired by the area’s Aboriginal heritage

  • New staff office area and back of house facilities, including first aid room

  • New multipurpose community room/training space 

  • Upgrade to existing aged drainage system and services

  • Improved integration across external spaces and outdoor grounds
