About the Project

The Strathfield Place Making project will transform an underutilised laneway into a vibrant, and activated shared pedestrian-zone. This project will improve walkability, pedestrian safety and outdoor dining as well as opportunities for passive recreation. 

Project Scope

The project will feature:

  • A shared pedestrian zone (conversion of Bells Lane)
  • Outdoor dining areas
  • Public art
  • Suspended lighting installations and catenary lighting
  • Raised pedestrian crossing
  • Footpath paving
  • Street furniture
  • Tree planning and landscaping
