About the Project 

The Fairfield Showground Community & Events Centre Project will deliver a multi-purpose four court indoor facility. The project integrates with the existing facilities and activities across Fairfield Showground. These are outdoor sports fields and amenities, community and commercial spaces for functions and events, community buildings, grandstands, cycle hub, walking and cycle paths, all-abilities playground at Deerbush Park.

Project Scope 

The project will deliver:

  • Construction of a multi-purpose court to accommodate:
    - Community sports (2 x sports courts)
    - Sporting Event
    - 3000 Seat Event
    - Trades Shows
    - Banquet Mode
    - Community Sport Event + Foyer Event
  • Retractable seating
    Amenities - including staff toilets, public toilets, adult change room, Sports change rooms with showers and toilets, Performance change room with showers and toilets, umpire’s rooms, first aid room and accessible and ambulant toilets.
  • Administration area
    Kiosk/Bar with storage rooms and cold store and kitchen and preparation room.
  • Multi-purpose room, storage rooms and corridors
  • Access, building management system, IT and security systems (including CCTV)
  • Solar power system and water reuse
  • Plant, utility and control rooms
  • Stage loading dock
  • Landscaping and paving
  • Main lobby, Foyer/small events space
  • Utility upgrades including power, sewer, gas and water supply
  • Fencing and gates
  • Fitments, fittings, and equipment
  • Hydraulic, mechanical, electrical fire and lift services
