Turnbull Oval at North Richmond Park Project

About the Project

The Turnbull Oval at North Richmond Park Project will provide the community with a new grandstand and associated facilities to support the growth of rugby league, cricket, netball and tennis. New female change rooms will also be provided to allow the local sporting clubs to host female-specific events and foster inclusion within the clubs.

This project, which delivers green and open space and community infrastructure will bring communities together, create cohesion and ensure the legacy of Turnbull Oval continues for generations to come.

Project Scope

The upgrades will include:

  • Refurbished amenities building with covered tiered seating to support canteen, club room, office, increased storage solution and compliant change spaces.
  • Upgraded multi-purpose courts
  • Integrated sporting fields for Rugby and Cricket with upgraded drainage, irrigation and new turf
  • 2 Cricket nets
  • Shared path network with better connections
  • Upgraded carparking
  • New playground
  • Social gathering spaces including BBQs and seating.

Funding:

NSW Government Funding: $4,780,433.00

Co-Contribution: $3,764,567.00

TOTAL PROJECT VALUE: $8,545,000.00
