About the Project
The Castle Hill Showground - Pedestrian Bridge Project involves the construction of a new pedestrian bridge crossing Showground Road from Castle Hill Showground to Fred Caterson Reserve.
The project will further enhance the connectivity between the two sites and provide improved, safer, and more direct access for cycling and pedestrian traffic.
The objective of the Showground redevelopment is to encourage shared use of the site consisting of access to free facilities such as play spaces and pathways, to hireable elements including the main arena for concerts, major local and regional sporting events.
Project Scope
This project will deliver:
- A new Pedestrian Bridge with privacy screens, roof mesh, balustrade and handrails between Fred Caterson Reserve and the Castle Hill Showground
- Lighting and signage
- Pavement marking and Tactile Indicator pads
- Access ramps and stairs
- Softworks
