About the Project
The Western Parramatta River and CBD Precinct Connections Project will connect the Parramatta City River foreshore to Parramatta Park and Westmead, joining key cultural, educational and health institutions centred around the Central River City.
The project will address critical missing pedestrian and cycling links in the river foreshore corridor that will better link key destinations such as Parramatta Park, the Stadium, the City Centre, Riverside Theatres and the new Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences.
The project will provide a range of pedestrian and cycling infrastructure including the creation of a new iconic bridge and a series of paths and boardwalk connecting Parramatta Park to the CBD. Once completed, it will transform how people explore and experience their city, its riverside locale and world heritage listed Parramatta Park.
