About the Project

The Airey Park Refurbishment project will transform a declining facility into a fit-for-purpose park with a quality sportsground and modern amenities. The project will address drainage and flooding issues at Alan Davidson Oval and surrounds, improve park amenities and address accessibility and inclusion barriers to ensure the facility meets current and future community needs. 

Project Scope

Airey Park Amenities Building Refurbishment:

  • Internal refurbishment (keeping existing building structure)
  • Female and male change rooms
  • Accessible female and male toilets
  • Club room to be refurbished into a public pavilion 
  • Additional storage space for community sports equipment and machinery

‍Upgrades to oval and park:

  • Oval upgrades including drainage, irrigation and levelling
  • ‍Solar lighting 
  • ‍Associated landscaping and pathways
