MIA Bush Fire Management CommitteeWhat’s this about?
A Bush Fire Risk Management Plan (BFRMP) is a document that maps and describes the level of bush fire risk across an area and sets out treatment strategies to minimise and mitigate the risk to the community.
The MIA Bush Fire Management Committee consists of fire agencies, land managers and other stakeholders. They have been working to identify ways to reduce the impact of fires in the Carrathool, Griffith, Hay, Leeton, Murrumbidgee and Narrandera Local Government Areas. The committee aims to protect lives, homes, businesses, agriculture, the environment and other assets that are important to this area.
Your feedback is important and by planning together, we will help shape the Bush Fire Risk Management Plan for this area for the next 5 years.
You can view the plan online at your local council or Fire Control Centre.
