What’s this about?

The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water is examining the way it is delivering the NSW Koala Strategy, to look for gaps in its approach and harness new information in the government’s efforts to protect and ensure the long-term survival of koalas in the wild.

The NSW Koala Summit will be held in Sydney on Friday 22 March 2024.

The summit will bring together key knowledge holders from across NSW who have been invited to provide advice about the effectiveness of current conservation activities and make recommendations for future priorities.

Input from both the discussion paper and NSW Koala Summit will help shape the actions we need to take to conserve koalas in NSW.

Read the Reviewing the NSW Koala Strategy discussion paper.
