Health Infrastructure, working in partnership with the Local Health Districts across the state, is responsible for the planning, design and delivery of the MPS Program.
The NSW Government is investing $297 million in the MPS program – Stage 5.
Project information
Multipurpose services are local facilities that combine a range of health and aged care services. Each service is tailored to meet the community's unique clinical needs into the future.
Benefits
The program will:
- Integrate health, aged care services (where appropriate), and emergency and urgent care services to provide flexible health service delivery.
- Utilise the latest healthcare solutions and models of care to deliver patient-centred health services closer to home.
- Respond to community needs and offers integration of services and links with other healthcare professionals and providers.
Scope
The program includes:
- Upgrades or new facilities across regional and remote NSW to deliver improved access to health and aged care services for local residents
- 18 projects have been completed at Barham, Bonalbo, Braidwood, Coolah, Culcairn, Dorrigo, Hay, Holbrook, Lightning Ridge, Molong, Murrurundi, Murrumburrah-Harden, Rylstone, Tocumwal, Tumbarumba, Walgett and Yass.
- One project is underway at Blayney.
