Far West LHD calling for people to nominate staff for special recognition
Patients, families, and carers are invited to nominate an exceptional local Far West LHD staff member, as part of the district’s 13th annual Staff Recognition and Health Innovations Awards.
The district is calling on anyone in the community who has experienced a level of care or service that stands out, to recognise that staff member by putting them in the running for the 2023 Award.
Mel Welsh, the District’s Director Allied Health and Integrated Community Services said the annual Awards were a fantastic opportunity to both recognise and celebrate the outstanding healthcare staff in the Far West.
“I encourage everyone in the community who’s benefited from the care provided to them or their loved one, to acknowledge those staff members who’ve made a real impact,” said Ms Welsh.
“We look forward to hearing from patients and consumers, in recognising staff and teams who do good work or go above and beyond when delivering services to the community.
“The Far West LHD is committed to recognising its employees for their achievements in providing high quality care to patients in our health services,” said Ms Welsh.

Nominations are open until 14 April 2023. The Staff Recognition Awards will be celebrated later this year.
