Join the 2020 Healthy Town Challenge
The NSW Office of Preventive Health and Heart Foundation (NSW) are calling for applications for the NSW Healthy Town Challenge 2020 to help rural and regional communities become healthier.
This year's Healthy Town Challenge 2020 is the sixth such challenge held in NSW.
The previous challenges have provided participating towns with opportunities to tap into existing NSW Health and Heart Foundation resources and programs to improve the health of their towns.
Towns involved in previous challenges have made remarkable gains towards creating supportive environments and facilitating healthy living activities for community members.
Towns selected to participate in the challenge will receive a $15,000 grant and support from the NSW Office of Preventive Health and the Heart Foundation for their activities. The winner of the Challenge will be awarded a first prize of $5,000.
The challenge will take place from 10 February to 11 September 2020.
Applications close Monday 13 January 2019. To find an application form and brochure containing information on the eligibility criteria and application process go to: http://www.preventivehealth.net.au/2020_NSWHTC.html
