Walk-in Vaccination Clinic for 5-11-year-olds this Saturday
Far West LHD will open a walk-in vaccination clinic for children aged 5-11 years tomorrow, Saturday 22 January. The clinic, located in the Musicians Club auditorium (Crystal Street), will be open between 10am and 1pm.
This clinic has been set up for children only, and any appointments that have already been booked for children will also be accommodated on the day. Adult walk-ins or appointments will not be accepted as the focus of this clinic is on children.
We want to make this process as easy and comfortable as possible for kids and parents. Evidence shows getting your child vaccinated will help protect them against severe illness and possible long-term effects from COVID-19. It will also help reduce community transmission.
Vaccination protects your friends, family and the community, including vulnerable people of all ages.
The Pfizer vaccine is recommended for children aged 5-11 in Australia. They will receive two doses of the vaccine 8 weeks apart.
Talk to your GP if you have any questions or concerns about COVID-19 vaccination for your child. If your child has underlying health conditions, consult their specialist care team.
Parents unable to attend this Saturday are encouraged to book a vaccination appointment for their child as soon as possible. You can book an appointment at a FWLHD vaccination clinic, or with a general practitioner or community pharmacy via the COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic Finder Parental consent is required prior to vaccination.
