Court Communication Policy

This policy provides employees with an understanding of the requirements for court reports including the legislative and procedural frameworks within which they are prepared and provided. It summarises the different reports Youth Justice prepares for the courts including:

• where data for the report should come from
• information that must be included
• policies and manuals that should be read in conjunction with this policy.

This policy also includes instructions for Youth Justice NSW employees about providing verbal information to the courts and updating the Client Information Management System.
