Acknowledgement
Aboriginal Affairs NSW acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands where we work and the places in which we live. We pay respect to Ancestors and Elders past and present. We recognise the unique cultural and spiritual relationship and celebrate the contributions of First Nations peoples to Australia.
Learn more about our grants
Aboriginal Affairs NSW offers grants to support Aboriginal people and communities to thrive, whether through community programs or events, cultural celebrations, business ventures, and other initiatives.
Grant programs are often a component of the continued support that Aboriginal Affairs NSW provides to community in Closing the Gap, Healing, and initiatives under OCHRE to empower Local Decision Making.
We recognise that many Aboriginal communities and organisations are already delivering programs to support culture and community. Our grants support the growth and continuation of these programs and encourage the establishment of new projects.
Each year, we offer the following grants:
- Minister’s Discretionary Fund Grants
All grant applications are assessed according to strict guidelines to consider how a project or initiative will benefit Aboriginal people and communities.
If you are thinking of applying for a grant and you need help, please get in touch with the team from your local Aboriginal Affairs NSW Regional Office.
We also encourage you to read stories from our past grant recipients.
