Service NSW celebrates a decade of putting people first in Kiama
Service NSW is today marking 10 years since the doors of its first branch opened in Kiama.
Kiama Service Centre opened on 5 July 2013, achieving a 97 per cent customer satisfaction rating and helping locals complete more than 316,000 transactions in-person.
The centre’s top transactions over the past five years include helping locals renew their driver’s licence, transferring or renewing a vehicle registration, helping young drivers obtain their licence and processing Working With Children Checks.
Minister for the Illawarra and South Coast, Ryan Park, said he was proud to celebrate the centre’s 10-year milestone.
“Having proudly grown up in the Illawarra region and now raising my family here, I am thrilled to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of Service NSW which started right here in Kiama,” Mr Park said.
“Instead of travelling to different agencies in multiple locations, customers can complete connected transactions like changing their name and updating their licence in one convenient location.
“Service NSW has evolved over time and continues to innovate for our customers today and into the future.
“It’s great to celebrate Kiama Service Centre’s 10th birthday and I wish the team all the best for the next 10 years.”
Since the Kiama doors opened, Service NSW has expanded to 114 Service Centres across the State.
Service NSW has evolved its service delivery to become a one-stop shop for 1300 government transactions and services and has delivered the Service NSW app to make more services available on the go.
