100 Public Safety Network sites upgraded with Juniper gateway technology
This important update ensures the Public Safety Network maintains mission-critical levels and reliable network performance.
NSW Telco Authority has successfully completed router upgrades to 100 Public Safety Network (PSN) sites, marking a key milestone in our Juniper Upgrade project.
We are working with Motorola Solutions as they replace hundreds of ageing GGM8000 site routers with the latest Juniper gateway technology at over 300 PSN sites.
The PSN is one of the most important critical communications networks in NSW and one of the largest of its type in the world.
The PSN allows Emergency Services Organisations to communicate and coordinate responses to critical incidents and disasters on a single, shared radio network.
NSW Telco Authority manages the PSN to deliver radio communications for frontline responders. We also work with emergency services and telecommunications carriers to protect communications assets during emergencies and natural disasters.
The Juniper Upgrade project is an important program of work that ensures the PSN maintains mission-critical levels, so our customers continue to experience reliable network performance and availability.
