Camden Valley Way is a major transport route for communities in Sydney’s South West Growth Centre, linking the Hume Highway and the M7 and M5 interchange at Prestons with Camden, Narellan and Liverpool. The project began in 2012 and is due to finish in late 2015, upon the completion of stage 3.
Minister for Roads and Freight Duncan Gay said the community would experience significant benefits from the road upgrade.
“Camden Valley Way has been a hive of construction activity for more than two years and I’m thrilled the community now gets to experience the benefits with two lanes in each direction as well as upgraded intersections,” Mr Gay said.
He added, “Combined with the widening of the M5 West to be complete by the end of the year, the South West Rail Link and other local road upgrades, the NSW Government is delivering vital infrastructure for the people of South West Sydney.
Stage 3 of the upgrade will focus on the section between Bringelly Road and Ingleburn Road at Leppington.
More information about the Camden Valley Way upgrade is available from the Roads and Maritime Services website.
