Free entry to Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre
Every Tuesday between 8am and 3pm, Commonwealth Senior Card holders and pensioners are eligible for free general entry to the Aquatic Centre.
The Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre also runs Staying Active exercise classes for people over 50 years of age on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Sports Minister Stuart Ayres said the initiative promoted healthier lifestyles for seniors.
“The weather outside is getting cooler, but the pool temperature is set to a balmy 26 degrees,” Mr Ayres said.
“Swimming is the perfect low impact exercise for older Australians.”
Around 15,000 pensioners visit the centre every year.
