The Hordern Pavilion and Royal Hall of Industries at Sydney’s Moore Park will be revamped as a world class entertainment, sporting and community precinct.

With a $20 million investment from the NSW Government in a $65 million dollar revitalisation, the community space will include a café, museum, multi-purpose recreation and function space and an international standard netball court.

A new gateway to the Entertainment Quarter will be created by connecting an outdoor entertainment space between the buildings with the light rail. Work is expected to get underway by the middle of 2019 subject to design, planning and development approvals.

The Hordern Pavilion’s heritage value and position as a premier live music and entertainment venue will remain under the major renovation.

Premier Gladys Berejiklian said the Royal Hall of Industries and Hordern Pavilion has a special place in the hearts of Sydneysiders. It has always been a location for the people and it is great to see that history embraced and respected.

“This exciting new project will create a vibrant community place that respects the great cultural, architectural and heritage significance of these iconic venues,” Ms Berejiklian said.
