The NDIS provides people with disability choice and control over the support they need to participate fully in the community and economy.
From 1 July 2016 people with disability living in the Hunter, New England, Southern NSW, Central Coast, Northern Sydney, South Western Sydney, Western Sydney and Nepean Blue Mountains will be able to access the NDIS.
In NSW the NDIS is estimated to support an additional 64,000 people with disability, create close to 30,000 new jobs in the sector and double the size of the disability services market to more than $6.8 billion a year.
From 1 July 2017 the NDIS will roll out across the rest of NSW, and people with disability living in Northern NSW, Mid North Coast, Sydney, South Eastern Sydney, Illawarra Shoalhaven, Murrumbidgee, Western NSW and Far West NSW.
