The 120 new and upgraded schools will create 32,000 more student places and 1500 new classrooms across NSW.
Primary schools will be delivered across the state, including at Catherine Fields, North Kellyville, Penshurst, Schofields and Ryde. Kent Road Public School in Marsfield will have upgrades to the existing school hall, library and student amenities as well as more classrooms.
Some of the new, upgraded or rebuilt high schools will be at Picton, Sydney Olympic Park, and Oran Park.
Regional NSW will see 36 new or upgraded schools to increase capacity and provide improved environments for learning and teaching.
The new projects are additional to projects already announced, such as the new high-rise Inner Sydney high school at Surry Hills, the high rise Arthur Phillip High School at Parramatta and Ballina High School.
School Infrastructure NSW will have responsibility for planning, delivering and maintaining the building projects and consulting with communities.
