The PSC Inclusion Forums share knowledge and best practice to embed a culture of inclusion across the NSW public sector in line with our Belonging and Inclusion Strategy (PDF 1.34MB).
There are up to 4 forums per year.

The Forum explored practical ways to incorporate lived experience in program design and implementation, including:
- a keynote address from MindTribes CEO Div Pillay
- a panel discussion on Closing the Gap and driving customer and community outcomes
- a panel discussion with D&I practitioners, employee resource group Chairs and Div Pillay

Inclusion Forum - Leveraging Lived Experience
Read transcriptIn this forum, we heard from Georgie Harman, CEO of Beyond Blue on the importance of supporting employee wellbeing as a strategic priority in our workplaces.
We heard great insights from a wellbeing panel on how to build psychologically safe, inclusive, and healthy workplaces that inspire organisational change and contribute to an inclusive public sector.
We also heard employees share their lived experience of managing wellbeing, and how the intersectionality of our identities uniquely shapes our experiences.
Inclusion Forum - Employee Wellbeing highlights
Read transcriptIn this forum, we heard a keynote from Dr Rae Cooper and Dr Liz Hill from Sydney University Gender Equality in Working Life Research Initiative. They explored work and care in Australia, the architecture of gendered inequality at work and how care shapes workplace gender inequalities across the life course. They also explored gaps and policy levers, with a focus on flexible work.
We also heard great insights from a lived experience panel and a carers workplace support panel.

Inclusion Form - Carers and Caring event highlights video
Read transcriptThis forum aimed to equip diversity and inclusion practitioners with the knowledge and skills to advocate for anti-racism in their agencies and to apply the thinking to their existing inclusion and workforce management strategies.
Keynote speaker Mr Chin Tan, former Race Discrimination Commissioner from the Australian Human Rights Commission (AHRC), spoke about the National Anti-Racism Framework and the importance of taking action against racism to create a safer and more inclusive workplace and society. Sector agencies shared their best practices and resource from the Australian Human Rights Commission “Racism. It Stops With Me” campaign were shared.
