How Local Land Services helps
A Local Land Services team of District Veterinarians and Livestock Officers are based in your region and ready to provide practical, local advice. We offer support and training on:
- Animal health and biosecurity – including disease prevention, diagnosis, and and herd health.
- Livestock production – from nutrition and pasture management to breeding and welfare.
- Regulatory guidance – including help with Property Identification Codes (PICs), eID, and how to safely transport livestock.
- Emergency preparedness – advice and support to build farm resilience and manage your stock during drought, flood, and fire.
