Escape to Millthorpe at Easter for the inaugural Handa Opera at Millthorpe!
Immerse yourself in three days of world-class performances, set against the charm of this historic country town. Enjoy a perfect blend of relaxing days, phenomenal musical talent, and delicious food and wine. It’s the ideal opportunity to unwind and indulge in a weekend of top-tier entertainment, with time to explore local wineries, cafes, and the beauty of Millthorpe and the Orange region.
This inaugural festival is a celebration of exceptional singing, music, food, and wine in a beautiful part of Australia. The programme showcases some of the finest artists from Australia and around the world.
The opening night Gala Concert will feature iconic opera arias and duets, along with a special instrumental performance, all accompanied by the Ku-ring-gai Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Paul Terracini.
Saturday evening will highlight the music of Rossini, while Sunday offers a concert of emerging opera stars in the afternoon, followed by a Cole Porter/George Gershwin tribute in the evening.
Seating at daily open rehearsals and in conversation events will be guaranteed for all Festival Pass holders. For those without a Festival Pass, individual seating for these events will be made available at a later date if available.
