Event information
Watershed Women invite you to join them to participate in skills-based workshops in a relaxed and fun learning environment.
Attendees will be split into groups to complete a round robin of three sessions with female experts in their field.
Session One: Christine Corner, local farmer, fermenter and permaculture educator - Culturing beneficial microbes for garden and gut.
Session Two: Local female NSW Rural Fire Service Volunteers - Portable Pumps and Fire Safety
Session Three: Katie Doherty, Rural Lifestyle Coach - Farm Fencing - Learn the ticks of the trade as a female!
Between the sessions we will leave the work boots at the door and don some lippy to enjoy a sit-down lunch with a guest speaker from the Rural Adversity Mental Health Program.
The aim of the day is to empower women through education by providing training and skills in otherwise male-dominated areas. We want to create connections and partnerships within the community to assist women, to develop skills and improve well-being.
